1) 0x800CCC1A

Similar Symptoms:

A secure connection to the server could not be established. Account: ‘accountname’ Server: ‘servername’, Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure (SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC1A

Possible Cause:

Client’s Anti-Virus program does not support SSL.

Resolution:

1)Disable the scanning email feature in your Anti-Virus.
2)Disable the SSL setting in mail client.

2)Outlook Express keeps trying to send a message

First check the obvious. While viewing the Outbox, click View –> Current View and be sure it is set to “Show All Messages”. Also verify that “Show replies to my messages” is not checked. If you then see the unsent message you can delete it normally. You should then click File –> Folder –> Compact.

If the Current View setting is correct, then the “Outbox.dbx” file has been damaged. This can be caused by antivirus programs scanning outgoing email. This scan is not necessary to protect your computer if you still have antivirus system scan running in the background, so disable all email scanning to prevent future damage. To repair the Outbox, close Outlook Express and delete “Outbox.dbx” in your store folder. A new Outbox will be created automatically when you re-open Outlook Express.

3) Outlook / Outlook express keep asking me the password?

This is probably due to email authentication issue also make sure that you are using correct login details.

Please ensure that your Account name or User account name in Outlook / Outlook express is set an email address, not only a name.

And it is better to enable the check box of Remember password to avoid popup for password for every request of receiving email.
